I probably would have given this place five stars, but our experience (three of us) on the casino floor playing slots was not good - we'd never encountered tighter games, and we'd been to a lot of casinos. The elevators are extremely slow, and the food isn't anything to get excited about. Be aware that they do not allow alcohol in the rooms, and if you find your card key doesn't work, they won't just swap it out for you at the front desk unless your name is on the registration (this happened to me - my travel companion's name was on the registration and I had to go find her on the casino floor). The rooms are very nice and comfortable, well stocked with everything you could need.
We were in town for the Balloon Fiesta, and with average hotel rates running at $200/night, this place offered us an economic oasis - rates were only $80/night. The hotel, though located about 16 miles west of Albuquerque on I-40, turned out to be convenience enough for us, since we had a rental car.
